How to wash a merino sweater

Less often, cooler and flat to dry. Three habits that make wool last for years.

Merino is naturally odour-resistant, so most sweaters need washing far less than you think. Air it out first.

When you do wash

Use a wool cycle at 30 degrees with a gentle detergent. Skip the softener and the tumble dryer.

Drying

Press the water out with a towel and dry flat. Never hang a wet sweater: it will stretch.
